Be Encouraged!
Three years ago I stepped out on faith to create the company, “Smooth Heals.” This is because one morning I heard a still voice tell me I needed to market the organic skin care cream. I have shared my testimony with several people. My ultimate vision is to grow to the level to hire people that have made mistakes in their lives and help them get a second chance. Starting a company in a season of drought has not been easy. Like most of you, my husband and I have been hit by our economy. I’ve been considering closing the company.
During lunch, I go to the Chapel to fellowship with my God. I prayed for direction about Smooth Heals. When my lunch was over, I ran into the librarian and she told me it was her last day at the hospital. I gave her a hug and wished her well. She asked me about my business. I told her that I was thinking about closing it and she told me “Don’t Do It.” I thought Lord I just prayed and you answered so fast.
On 1/28/11 I received a call from a collection agency. This young man asked me what was going on with the account. I told him that I have contacted that company numerous times, sent emails, and wrote them asking them to discontinue the advertisement service for my company because my company was not generating the income. I began to tell him about the fiery darts that have been sent our way attacking our income. This company had sent me an invoice that stated I had zero balance. I thought they wrote off the bill because of requests they didn’t honor to cancel the service. However, on the back of the bill was a statement saying they were sending the bill to a collection agency.
The next thing I knew I was in tears. Outstanding medical bills, income adjustments, more than I wish to disclose was making me weary. This young man told me “you keep looking at the storm. Look past the storm. Quit playing.” He reminded me that I had just prayed and God immediately answered my prayer. He told me to go read Acts 9vs6. (I had just finished reading Jeremiah before he called). He shared his testimony with me and it blessed me.
I pray that this would encourage you to look past your storms. If you have a word of encouragement that you would like to share, send me an email. I will post it. Lets lift each other up!
